Ahhh! The rest day. Love running as I do, The day off is good too. I currently run just 4 days a week following a bout of plantar fasciitis combined with some post tibialis trouble. It left me with 2 very sore areas on my left heal. 2 months off and after nearly 2 months of running, I'm back up to 30mpw (miles per week). I do a 10 (miles), 9, 8 and a 3. I've got the 3 miler tomorrow. The aim of the longer runs is to get my aerobic fitness back. I did consider cutting the 9 and 8 and doing 3 shorter midweek runs to make 5 runs per week but I find my heel is much happier having a day off after each run. This won't continue, but whilst I'm doing rehab I'll give it what it seems to need. What to do on a rest day? For me, today, not much. I played with my synthesizers, supervised my son through some home-schooling (argh!) and played some No Man's Sky. The only active thing I did was a ...
